The Square One Older Adult Centre has function rooms for all of your needs, from large parties to small meetings.  Our rates are based on the size of the room required, the kind of  (group/private) activity taking place and the day of the week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How do you rent a room at Square One Older Adult Centre?

Call Anne at 905 615-3207 and let us know your requirements.  If suitable facilities are available you will be asked to come into the Centre to complete a contract and make a deposit.

 

How can I set up the room and who will help me?

Pre-set floor plans can be provided to accommodate your guest numbers or you can design your own floor plan.  Your rental representative will be present during your rental and will assist you with set-up and other requirements. 

 

Can food and alcohol be served?

Yes, our renovated kitchen is rated by the Region of Peel as a servery so a refrigerator, oven and microwave are available to keep prepared food warm or cool.  Alcohol may be served provided you obtain a special occasion permit and follow our alcohol policy which includes having a “Smart Serve” certified server. Is parking available? 

Yes, Square One Shopping Centre parking is available free of charge.

 

What equipment is available and what do I have to provide?

Tables (6 foot rectangular) and chairs with arms are provided, large bins are available for ice or drink storage, white boards and flip charts (no paper) are available and coffee urns, TV with DVD player and media cart can all  be rented.  Both the Auditorium and the Program Room have drop down screens which can also be rented. 

 

You need to bring your own sound system, LCD projector or program equipment.  You also need to provide your own table linens and cutlery.  You  need to bring your own serving utensils for the kitchen as well as your own pop and ice.

 

Can I use candles?

The use of candles or open flames is prohibited but we encourage the use of  battery operated votive candles—they have a great glow.
